The library’s primary book vendor, Baker & Taylor, is shutting down unexpectedly. Salem Public Library and thousands of libraries around the country are scrambling to establish new purchasing options and are working to establish new contracts with alternate vendors. However, patrons may notice a temporary disruption to our new materials. There may be delays on new releases or requested items, and fewer items on the shelves. Our digital materials remain available and are unaffected by this change
