Time for some turkey talk… 👀 Turkeys have excellent vision and can hone in on noises from a mile away. 👃🏼 The fleshy appendage draping over a turkey’s beak is called a snood. That’s also the name of a hair accessory. 😢 100 years ago, turkeys almost disappeared from Texas due to unregulated hunting and loss of habitat. 🦃 Thanks to conservation efforts, Texas now has some of the highest densities of turkeys in the country, with wild turkeys inhabiting over 200 counties throughout the state. |
