It's not just Galicia. Finding hundreds of plastic pellets this morning on the beach in Tramore 🇮🇪 Never seen so many before! These 'nurdles' could be from any of the 230,000 tonnes that spill into the ocean every year with very little regulation on ocean transport. In the European Parliament we're working to stop this plague. There was recent legislation on reducing plastic pellet pollution proposed by the Commission, but I'm working to include better regulation on ocean transport in the law.
