Water levels at Lake Powell reservoir have ebbed and flowed in the last few decades, but have declined overall. Located on the Colorado River in Utah and Arizona, it is the second largest artificial reservoir in the United States, able to hold 55 times as much water as Sydney Harbor in Australia.
