This past year has been deadly for Australia’s marine life and the Queensland government’s Shark Control Program is responsible for much of this destruction. We promised to keep you posted on how many marine animals were caught by the program since we restarted the count last year, at the start of the Crisafulli government. Since last November, 56 turtles, 58 rays, 15 dolphins, and 13 whales have been caught. Shark nets do not make our beaches safer. They only serve as a false sense of security
