Acting quickly and with great care, our officers were able to safely bring them to the care center. We’re happy to share that Pocahontas, an 8-year-old Quarter Horse, was reunited with her grateful owner. Buttercup, a 6-year-old pony, has significant injuries and will be evaluated by a specialist. Yesterday we found this young sparrow fallen from his nest. Luckily he landed on an outdoor chair and so was unharmed. We placed him on the balcony so he was out of harms way, near to the tall pine tree he fell from, and waited to see if his parents would find him. Sadly they didn’t and we have been feeding him and keeping him warm. Although we can give first aid and primary care to these birds, we do not have the facilities to raise them, so this morning we took him to our vet as she is caring
