On October 8, 1988 NWA World Wide Wrestling aired on TBS. In his National Wrestling Alliance television debut, Bam Bam Bigelow (accompanied my manager Sir Oliver Humperdink) defeats David Isley. Bigelow was unwilling to sign an exclusive contract with WCW due to his touring commitments with New Japan Pro-Wrestling, and he left the company in January 1989.
