Our rescue team was sent out to save this opossum that was seriously entangled in a backyard soccer net. With the owner’s permission, we cut the net to safely free the opossum and transport him to our hospital. Once at the hospital, our clinic staff carefully cut the remaining net from the opossum. Thankfully, this patient did not sustain any injuries. However, we can imagine he was very sore due to the tightness of the rope. The patient was given fluids and pain medications and is now resting.
