This is a Lettered olive. It gets its name because they tend to draw letters in the sand at low tide, but maybe we should call this one a “musical note” OLIVE because that design it drew looks more like a musical note than a letter! The snail extends its head, including the tube-like siphon used for breathing, from the blunt end of the shell, it also has sensory tentacles however in this video we are seeing the siphon, I believe. * * #shells #olives #shell #naplesfl #marcoisland #letters #sand #
