I used to think peace is what comes after perfection. Like, “once I achieve ______, then I’ll be at peace.” But life has taught me otherwise. Now I know that peace is what follows presence—showing up in our life as it is right now, in this moment, for better or worse. I suppose I’m in a season of redefining and rediscovering what I want peace to look like in my life and how I can encourage it to show up even (and especially) amidst the inevitable chaos.
