As talented as Mel Blanc was, his exclusive screen credit in the Warner Bros. cartoons meant that many other talented voice actors went unrecognized. Perhaps the most notable was Arthur Q. Bryan, the voice of Elmer Fudd. Much like Blanc, Bryan was originally a radio actor, and originated the "Elmer" voice there, before directors Tex Avery and Chuck Jones hired him for cartoons.
