Eeyore

We lost our Manny this morning, quite suddenly. His back legs collapsed on a cushion of fallen leaves outside our bedroom just as the sun was rising. The light was golden. Yesterday he ate his supper and joined us on our post-prandial walk where he performed his final sand angel. Manny was our angel. He sang like a chorister, especially as a soloist. He was kind to kids, to new dogs, to cats, and to all who share our space. He had a tail like a paintbrush, dabbed in white at the tip, that could
