The chase began in San Jose at around 3 p.m. when a suspect stole a Corvette, abandoned it in Hollister, and carjacked another vehicle. The suspect was armed, and a shootout occurred between the suspect and San Jose Police. A San Jose police officer was injured Wednesday. The suspect was later killed.
