Delighted to be back behind these ears again today 🖤 poor Cookie had a little abscess, so she's had a week off. Fortunately my brilliant farrier saw her very quickly and started the abscess draining straight away, so lots of poulticing and no riding. But I have spent the week doing some groundwork with her, only on a surface, and just staying in walk and halt, so no problem keeping the poultice on, and I think gentle movement often helps abscesses to drain. Baby Gulps neck still wasn't healing properly so he went back to Main Street Spay Neuter Clinic this week so they could explore his neck a bit more since it was still getting abscesses and draining abscess juices all over. He took a good nap, they explored and flushed him out again and got him some more meds and fingers crossed theres no more fox tails to hold him back.
