I found this rare fossil after a period of rough seas. It’s been rolling around for a long time, which is why it’s so worn — but that wear tells an incredible story. This is a rolled section of an ichthyosaur jaw, containing teeth from a Jurassic marine reptile. Because of the heavy wear, the best way to display it was to polish it to a high finish, revealing the internal structure of the teeth. A very cool and unusual fossil.
