The conversation around mail-in ballots, the partisan split on mail in ballots, and DeJoy dismantling the Post Offices ability to sort a HUGE out of the ordinary influx of mail, all coalesced into (at the very least) the appearance of intentional election tampering.

DeJoy willingly committed mail fraud, and violated several laws in regards to intentional delay of the mail. The board allowed it. At bare minimum that's accessory.

When DeJoy first started, his supporters were fanatical. "He has a 10-year plan!" "He gets things done!" Then, after a year or so, they switched to "That was actually Brennan's idea." And "All this criticism is just 'orange man bad'." And now? They don't say any of that stupid shit anymore, because the data is so overwhelmingly bad for their guy.

The answer imo is that DeJoy isn’t really doing anything wrong, and there may be a lack of people willing to take a job which has recently become politicized. His policies and actions - including reducing the number of post offices, consolidating operations, shifting towards package processing and away from letters, etc… aren’t new.
