New York Jets owner Woody Johnson has agreed to purchase a stake in Crystal Palace from American businessman John Textor, the English Premier League soccer franchise announced Monday.

Palace’s current squad is arguably the best in their history. England internationals Eberechi Eze (who scored the winner in the cup final) and Marc Guehi are the crown jewels, and likely to be the next big names to depart for bigger clubs.

Woody Johnson is adding to his pro sports portfolio. The Jets owner has agreed to buy a significant stake in the Premier League team Crystal Palace, the English soccer club announced Monday. The $254 million sale is for a 43% stake, according to ESPN.
