The Dow, S&P 500, and Nasdaq are mixed Tuesday as the stock market sifts through the latest second-quarter earnings results.

It appears bearish investors may be capitulating as U.S. companies’ second-quarter earnings reports so far are strong and stocks are up since the White House announced tariffs in April, according to money-management firm Navellier & Associates.

U.S. stocks moved higher on Monday as optimism around earnings overshadowed any investor fears over the latest developments in trade.
