It’s taken a year for us to get right back to where we were in 2024: a long-haul Stanley Cup Final between the sunbelt champion Florida Panthers and the team that pushed them to the limit last year, Canada’s Edmonton Oilers.

The Edmonton Oilers and the Florida Panthers will start the best-of-7 Final with Game 1 at Rogers Place on Wednesday (8 p.m. ET; CBC, TVAS, SN, TNT, truTV, MAX). It's a rematch of last season's Final, which the Florida Panthers won in seven games.

THE OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER AND THE FLORIDA PANTHERS The Thunder are rolling into the NBA Finals in historically dominant fashion. Oklahoma City destroyed Minnesota 124-94 to finish off the Western Conference Finals in five games.

Jaccob Slavin played 28 minutes in Game 4, the most in a regulation game all year, postseason or regular season. The Hurricanes’ ace defenseman may have to do it again tonight.
