OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 34 points in three quarters, and the Oklahoma City Thunder set league and team records in a 149-106 win over the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday night that tied the Western Conference semifinal series at one game apiece.

The Thunder outscored the Nuggets 45-21 in the first quarter. The 45 points — a Thunder playoff record for points in a quarter — came on 71% shooting. OKC was also 10-of-10 from the foul line in the first quarter.

Game 2's most fervid battle, the OKC frontcourt vs. Nikola Jokic, was a window into the Thunder's early punches and wire-to-wire domination of the Nuggets.
