No other streaming service had prioritized history in that way — but all good things must come to an end, and so, too, has the era of classic Looney Tunes on Max.

Max has dropped the original Warner Bros. cartoons from its lineup, which our TV critic says leaves us with the pastiche and is similar to removing books from a library.

The original Looney Tunes animated shorts are now officially removed from Max. Warner Bros. Discovery removed seasons 1-15 in March 2025.
