A federal judge has ordered the Trump administration to arrange for the return of a Maryland man to the United States after he was mistakenly deported to a notorious El Salvador prison.

Kilmar Abrego Garcia was taken to El Salvador on March 15 because of what the Trump administration has called an "administrative error."

Abrego Garcia, who had fled El Salvador as a teenager to escape gang violence, was expelled and sent back to his native land even though he had won a court order six years earlier barring his removal.
