Attorney General Ken Paxton seeks to hold Beto O'Rourke in contempt for violating a temporary restraining order by continuing to fundraise, disregarding the legal consequences outlined by a Texas judge.

"[H]e still thinks he’s above the law, so I’m working to put him behind bars," the Texas attorney general said.

Paxton sued O’Rourke and his political group, Powered by People, last week, arguing that the group was deceptively fundraising for and illegally supporting Texas Democrats’ walkout.
