British punk-rap duo Bob Vylan led chants against the Israeli military in a live BBC broadcast on Saturday. Irish-language rappers Kneecap also are being investigated.

Several outlets including the BBC cited a statement from Avon and Somerset police in the U.K. announcing an inquiry into sets by the rap-punk group Bob Vylan and the Northern Iris

A criminal investigation has been launched over performances by Bob Vylan and Kneecap at Glastonbury on Saturday, Avon and Somerset Police has said. The force said it had appointed a senior detective to investigate whether comments made by either act amounted to a criminal offence after reviewing footage.

Irish hip-hop group Kneecap and punk duo Bob Vylan made the comments during their sets. One member of Bob Vylan chanted "Death, death, to the IDF."

In the run-up to the festival at Worthy Farm in Somerset, several politicians called for Kneecap to be removed from the line-up.

The band Bob Vylan led a chant of “Death, death to the I.D.F.” at Britain’s biggest music festival. A senior State Department official said the band’s U.S. visas had been revoked.
