The North Shore Mosquito Abatement District said the batch was collected on Monday in a trap and tested positive for the virus on Thursday.

Mosquitoes in Chicago tested positive for the virus in June, and so far, the virus has been found in 19 Illinois counties. The first batch of positive mosquitoes was found in early May in Rockford, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
