Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan is seeking to dismiss her federal obstruction case, which she said was based on an official act and therefore she was immune, citing a 2024 Supreme Court ruling involving President Donald Trump.

A federal grand jury on Tuesday indicted a Wisconsin judge accused of helping a man evade immigration authorities, allowing the case against her to continue.

Attorneys for Milwaukee County Judge Hannah Dugan filed a motion to dismiss the criminal case against her Wednesday morning, citing judicial immunity for her official acts.
