Canada saved their best game of the Olympics, and of the last 12 months until the final game of the 2026 Olympics, but it wasn't enough as the United States earned gold.

USA captain Hilary Knight scored her 15th career Olympic goal and 33rd point, both U.S. records, when she tied the gold medal game against Canada.

MILAN (AP) — Three of hockey’s international powerhouses are in the semifinals at the Milan Cortina Olympics after getting a scare at the start of the knockout round. The United States, Canada and Finland all won in overtime in the quarterfinals to move one victory away from playing for the gold medal.
