Blake Coleman scored twice for the Calgary Flames in a 4-1 win against the Anaheim Ducks at Scotiabank Saddledome on Thursday. Calgary moved to within five points of the Minnesota Wild for the second wild card into the Stanley Cup Playoffs from the Western Conference with a game in hand.

The Calgary Flames (35-27-12, fourth in the Pacific Division, six points away from the second wild-card spot) will host The Anaheim Ducks (33-33-8, sixth in the Pacific Division, 14 points away from the second wild-card spot).

Calgary Flames general manager Craig Conroy has announced that the club has signed Aydar Suniev to a three-year, entry-level contract. Suniev spent the 2024-25 campaign with the UMass Minutemen, where he racked up 20 goals and 18 assists for 38 points in 35 games.
