Mother Nature really, really does not want to see the Boston Red Sox and Baltimore Orioles play this week, apparently. Slated to play a four-game set at Fenway
BOSTON — The Boston Red Sox announced Friday night the second game of their double-header against the Baltimore Orioles has been postponed due to rain. Rain is expected in the Fenway area throughout the night. The game has been rescheduled as the first game of a split doubleheader on Saturday, beginning at 1:05 p.m.
Rafael Devers grounded a single up the middle to drive in the winning run with one out in the bottom of the 10th inning Saturday, lifting the Boston Red Sox past the Baltimore Orioles 6-5 in the opener of a split doubleheader.
Alex Bregman left the first game of the doubleheader with right quad tightness. Nick Sogard is in the Red Sox' Game 2 lineup at third base.
Mother Nature has made the spring schedule very difficult for the St. Paul Saints and Portland Sea Dogs this season.
