Alex Ovechkin said he plans to return at least one more season after setting the all-time NHL goalscoring record during his 20th campaign with the Washington Capitals.

With Ovechkin getting older, many have wondered when he might retire. He's 39 years old but has shown no signs of slowing down. The Russian entered Thursday's regular season finale against the Pittsburgh Penguins with 43 goals and 29 assists on the year.

Washington has four games left in the regular season, all of which are against teams outside the playoff picture.
