AJ Styles looks to have his long-awaited Intercontinental Championship opportunity against Dominik Mysterio at WWE SummerSlam.

According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio (h/t Steve Carrier of Ringside News), WWE's original plans called for Reigns vs. Breakker and Jey Uso vs. Bronson Reed in separate matches at SummerSlam, but that may be transforming into Reigns and Uso vs. Breakker and Reed in a tag team bout instead.

AJ Styles was seen in different costumes on RAW as the former WWE Champion continued to keep his eyes on Dominik Mysterio. However, the antics did not sit well with Vince Russo, who called it silly.

After weeks of inacitvity, Dominik Mysterio has been cleared for WWE SummerSlam. He'll face AJ Styles at the event.
