An American woman who was detained for weeks in Afghanistan by the Taliban has been released. That's according to a person familiar with the matter, as well as a social media post Saturday from a longtime U.

Two other Americans, Ryan Corbett and William McKenty, were released from Afghanistan this year in a deal struck during the final days of the Biden administration in exchange for a member of the Taliban being held in U.S. custody.

An American woman who had been detained in Afghanistan by the Taliban since February has been released and is in “good health,” according to a source with knowledge of the release.
