Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Saturday that he will meet US President Donald Trump in Washington on Monday, August 18. He said that he held a “long and substantive” call with the US president, hours after the Alaska Summit concluded with no agreement on a ceasefire in Ukraine.

In the first reaction to Putin-Trump Alaska meet, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the US President informed him about the "main points" of his talks with Russia's Putin in Alaska. Zelenskyy said that he will be meeting Trump in Washington on Monday.

Trump said he would call NATO allies and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Both Trump and Putin offered only vague details about their discussion in a 12-minute press conference where neither leader took questions from the press.
