Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis have arrived alongside their parents, Kate Middleton and Prince William, for the royal family's first event commemorating the 80th anniversary of VE Day.

A national two-minute silence is set to take place on the Isle of Man to mark 80 years since the end of World War Two. The public has been invited to fall silent at midday on Thursday to commemorate the anniversary of VE Day and commemorate those who fought during the war.

Sandy Town Council invites all residents to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of VE Day on 8th May 2025 to honour the bravery and sacrifice of those who brought peace to Europe in 1945. The Council is hosting some events with support from St Swithun’s Church throughout the day.
