Tommy Fleetwood is once again atop the leaderboard at a significant event going into the weekend, this as the Englishman continues pursuing his elusive first PGA Tour win. Fleetwood fired a second-round 63 to reach 13 under and take the lead alongside Russell Henley at the midway point of the Tour Championship.

Scheffler is five shots behind co-leaders Tommy Fleetwood and Russell Henley, which is one shot worse than he was after 36 holes last week at the BMW Championship. He won that event by two strokes.

Russell Henley ran wild around East Lake Golf Club in the first round of the 2025 Tour Championship, and in the process, he ran to the top of the leaderboard in the final leg of the FedEx Cup Playoffs.

Fleetwood shot 63 Friday at East Lake while Henley had a 66. Both are at 13 under par and two shots clear of Cameron Young (62) entering the weekend.

The first two rounds at East Lake also gave Fleetwood a career-high aggregate scoring tie, with a total of 127 strokes. It's a mark he achieved just two weeks ago at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, where he also led after 36 holes.

The PGA Tour has returned to Atlanta and East Lake Golf Club for its season-ending Tour Championship. It's offering a $40 million purse, with $10 million to the winner.
