The Speaker of the Texas House of Representatives announced the formation of a House Select Committee to tackle congressional redistricting during the ongoing special called session of the Texas Legislature.

The Texas House of Representatives' Select Committee on Redistricting will hold its first hearing on the potential Congressional redistricting of the state next Monday in Arlington. The hearing is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. on the University of Texas-Arlington campus.
