Months of anti-government rallies in Serbia lapsed into violence again as supporters of President Aleksandar Vucic clashed with his opponents in three of the Balkan country’s biggest cities.
Friday brought another episode of tense confrontation between anti-government protesters and police in Serbia. Demonstrators had gathered in front of the army headquarters building in the capital.
Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker called Wednesday on Serbia to engage in dialogue with Kosovo, stressing that there is no alternative to the process aimed at normalizing relations between the two sides.
