Nashville, Tenn. (July 1, 2025) - Nashville Predators General Manager Barry Trotz announced today that the team has signed defenseman Nick Perbix to a two-year, $5.5 million contract.

Nick Perbix spent three seasons with the Tampa Bay Lightning but chose to leave in free agency, signing a two-year, $5.5 million deal with Nashville.

Nashville acquired Nicolas Hague and Nick Perbix, two young, large defensemen. Entering the offseason, general manager Barry Trotz made reshaping the Nashville Predators' defense his top priority.

The Predators look to return to relevance in 2025-26, but made one offseason move that stands out above the rest.

Perbix is coming off a two-year contract that carried an AAV of $1.125 million, and AFP Projections has his next contract at two years with a $2.7 million AAV.
