The New Orleans Saints finished filling out the top of their coaching staff on Friday, hiring former Chargers head coach Brandon Staley to be their defensive coordinator, per ESPN's Katherine Terrell.

The New Orleans Saints are hiring former Los Angeles Chargers head coach Brandon Staley as Kellen Moore’s defensive coordinator:

Staley had a 24-24 record as head coach of the Chargers. He led the team to two winning seasons and a playoff berth before being fired 14 games into the 2023 season. Before getting hired by the Chargers, Staley had one outstanding year as defensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Rams.
