Israel said it would stop a ship piloted by pro-Palestinian activists, including Greta Thunberg, from breaking its blockade of the Gaza Strip. Thunberg is one of 12 activists, including a minister of the European Parliament,

Thunberg said she joined the Madleen crew to "challenge Israel's illegal siege and escalating war crimes" in Gaza and highlight the urgent need for humanitarian aid.

Israel's Katz said he instructed the military to "take whatever measures necessary" to stop the ship carrying Thunberg and other activists.
