If you were hoping to see young infielder Kristian Campbell at first base in the near future, you may be a tad disappointed. Boston is in the middle of a 10-game homestand and one of the big talking points throughout it so far is the fact that Campbell has been getting practice repettitions at first base.

The Boston Red Sox are going to give rookie Kristian Campbell a try at first base. Campbell worked out at first ahead of Friday night's game against the Atlanta Braves at Fenway Park. Campbell entered the season as one of baseball's top prospects and was named Boston's starting second baseman after an impressive spring.

Kristian Campbell is coming alone as he learns how to play first baseman. But Alex Cora indicated there's more time needed.
