As rescue teams continue their search for flood victims, a flash flood watch has been issued in the Texas Hill Country, making an already difficult task that much harder.

The threat of heavy rain is “slight” for this weekend, but with the ground fully saturated in Kerr County, even small amounts of rainfall could cause flooding.

The Senate panel consists of seven Republicans and two Democrats. It first meets in Austin next week, then in Kerrville on July 31.
