Two firefighters were killed and residents were ordered to shelter in place, but the order was lifted after police found a dead man in the woods.

Authorities say two firefighters were killed and another was critically injured after they were shot while responding to a wildfire near Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

One of the firefighters killed in an ambush in Idaho last week was a Neenah native, the Neenah Joint School District confirmed to the Appleton Post-Crescent. Frank Harwood was a 2001 graduate of Neenah High School. He was the Kootenai County Fire and Rescue Chief and had served for the agency for 17 years.
