Residents in Greer and South Fork have been ordered to evacuate their homes after the Greer Fire broke out Tuesday in the small eastern Arizona town.
While the Greer Fire continues to rage in northern Arizona, the new update from the US Drought Monitor shows that part of the state is experiencing extreme drought.
The blaze has grown to 7,052 acres on Thursday with zero containment, according to inciweb.gov, and more than 400 personnel were fighting the fire.
GLENDALE, Ariz. — A food truck caught fire Thursday in Glendale after propane tanks reportedly exploded, police said. The fire has been put out and two of the truck's workers have been taken to the hospital for burn injuries. One patient sustained second-degree burns and the other reportedly sustained third-degree burns, police said.
Tiffany Davila with Arizona's Forestry and Fire Management gave a Thursday morning update after the Greer Fire doubled in size to over 7,000 acres overnight.
