Convicted murderer Grant Hardin, nicknamed 'Devil in the Ozarks,' captured 1.5 miles from prison after escaping on May 25, ending a weeks-long manhunt by multiple agencies

Grant Hardin, an escaped Arkansas inmate known as the “Devil in the Ozarks,” has been taken into custody, the Izard County Sheriff’s Office said Friday. Hardin is a convicted murderer and rapist. He was reported missing from prison on May 25.

The sister of the man Grant Hardin shot and killed in 2017 is beyond relieved after learning of his recapture.
