The UConn women’s basketball team added another marquee matchup to next year’s schedule on Wednesday, announcing it will face Maryland in the third annual Women’s Champions Classic at Barclays Center.

The Lady Vols are projected to face No. 9 seed Princeton in the first round. The winner would advance to play either No. 1 seed UConn or No. 16 seed Howard in the second round.

With a record of 34-0, the UConn Huskies earned the top overall seed of the 68-team field for the 2026 NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Championship.
