Franklin, the Broncos’ fourth-round draft pick out of Bo Nix’s Oregon last year, may have caught more passes on the first day of 2025 training camp Friday than he did during his entire rookie camp last year. The potential is there for Franklin to make a major step in year 2 of his NFL career.
A day after the Broncos began training camp with full attendance and “one of the cleaner report dates that I can recall relative to (health),” according to head coach Sean Payton, Thursday featured the first player absence.
The Broncos moved their work to the red zone on Day 2 of training camp, and a pair of cornerbacks showed off their playmaking ability.
Another leader on the defense is Jonathon Cooper. The Broncos leading the NFL in sacks last year but also Jonathon says that there is always room for improvement, but off the field as a leader as well.
Broncos training camp opened up to fans for the first time this summer and receivers Pat Bryant, Troy Franklin, Devaughn Vele and Marvin Mims, Jr. all looked good.
