In the games, Bowser Jr. has always been shown as having small, completely black eyes, similar to the baby versions of Mario and Luigi. In the movie, however, Illumination has decided to change things up a bit by giving him realistic eyes that look kind of horrific, thanks to the bloodshot red and yellow colouring.
