Virginia State Police released a statement Wednesday affirming residents that they are aware of concerns regarding missing children, but say there is no evidence of mass abductions in the commonwealth.

VSP said there are no current investigations for a mass abduction as well. VSP did say they reported more missing children than other states on the National Center for Missing and Exploited Kids (NCMEC), but it is because VSP forwards every missing child case to the website.
