The three teenagers are accused of causing the Table Rock Fire after failing to extinguish cigarettes while on a hiking trail, officials said.

Authorities say four teen hikers who did not fully extinguish their cigarettes have been charged with causing the largest Table Rock wildfire which started March 21.

Four young people have been arrested on suspicion of starting the largest mountain wildfire in South Carolina history, officials said.
